560$ in free cash so far! - Updated 06.02.08

1 Feb, 2008 bankroll evolution, rakeback

I’ve been encouraged to do a post on the importance of rakeback deals and an update on my own rakeback earnings so far in the project, so here it is!

Lets get the facts straight first:

I’ve got myself a 60%+ rakeback deal through a friend of mine at Rakebackmypoker.com (as a reader you can get the exact same deal by following the link)

-I’ve earned ca. 1400 (cb-sb (2400-1000)) in the first moth of the project with an average of around 10 hours of play a week.

- From the 1400, 559,75$ comes from rakeback (see screenshot of my rakebackreport)- thats 40% of my total winning comming from the rakeback deal alone!

So the short answer as to the importance of a good (to me a good rakeback deal is 50%+) rakeback deal: VERY IMPORTANT! To a lot of players it will be the difference between being a winning player and a losing player. Remember that those 560$ would’ve belonged to Carbon poker if it wasn’t for my rakeback deal - thats like getting 560$ in free cash!
Now think of a player that plays 25 hours of play at double the tables, but at the same “small” stakes I’ve been playing - such a player would make more than 3000$ a month in rakeback alone! So again: A good rakeback deal is important!

So go get yourself a good rakeback deal and join me on my way to million, I know other readers of Within1000days have done it already and I hope they will will tell us about their experinces with Carbon.

PS. I’m probably not allowed to talk about it, but as I doubt that the people at carbon stumples upon Within1000days, I’ll do it anyway as a little extra service for the interested: Throughout February Carbon hosts a special promotion exclusively for their rakebackers (Thats us:-)

    Hi Die!

Yes you are right - rakeback is very important if you should ever succeed in online poker! I made my first (and only ;) ) 500$ deposit on Carbon Poker 18 days ago and have been playing there almost every day since. I play 3-5 0.5/1$ tables - sometimes less when I play HU.

I have made approximately 3600$ (4100-500). Rakeback makes up for ~35% of these earnings, as I have received more than 1200$ in rakeback over the last 18 days! These numbers seem to fit very well with Die’s and underlines the importance of a good rakeback deal. This especially holds if you are a high volume player that plays a lot of tables simultaneously or if you play HU. Multitable players should expect to have a smaller edge over their opponents and the fact that more tables generate more rake should outweigh this. In HU poker you play a lot of hands where you generate rake. Again if you do not have a rake back deal, the casino could be the only one benefitting on your hard work!

    Hi Hans,

Ty for your feedback on the rakeback deal - good to see I’m not the only one benefiting from it:)

Keep up the good work and let us know how you progress!

PS. I better step on it to keep your pace:)
