After an EPT that ended in a 4 hour HU that was disgrace to poker, I’m more motivated and convinced that I can make to the stars - if those two imbeciles can make it HU in an EPT, I can become world champion! That said, no more talk about Søren “Kom så de hviie” Jensen and Timothy “I don’t like to sit down” Vance.
As you might have noticed in my chart, the EPT was a rather good week to my br. It’s not that I played fundamentaly different from the previous 3-4 weeks, but the bad beats stayed of my door, which makes poker a lot easier. That said, there is no doubt that the fact that I signed up with Pokeruniversitet (Danish poker videos) and Pokersavvy (American poker videos), and have been watching some really great pokervideos the last week has improved my game more than I could ever have expected in just 1 week - I’ve tightened up a lot on the limping pre and increased my aggression factor, so that it’s either fold or raise (There are exceptions to this ofcourse, but basically it has payed off big time) - Please don’t tell the other players at Carbon Poker:) I’ll post some hands later on.
Even though I expected a good ROI from Pokeruniversitet, I actually think that it has been even greater from the poker videos at Pokersavvy and I think the concepts from there, within the last week, have earned me enough $ for 3-4 years of membership:) Poker videos was, for me, definately the right first step towards becomming a real poker player.
The fact that Pokersavvy offers 45$ for free everytime you sign up with a new pokerroom through them, is just extra glacing on the cake.
I’ve created a “Within1000days”-miniguide on how to get the free 45$ (you can do this 20+ times) :
1) Go to PokerSavvy
2) Register with PokerSavvy (its free and only took me a minute)
3) Find the poker room that you like (took me another 30 seconds)
DONE! I’ve tested it and it works fine.
Last but not least I would like to give you an update on my doings in the monthly $50.000 freeroll at Carbon: After some very dry first hours of the tournament, I found myself being down at 800 with BB being 1200. But this was just around the time where the pokergods started smiling at me - First, I 4-doubled with AK and from there there was only one way - up up up! Untill I hit 50.000 in chips with 75 players left. Now this was around the time where pokergods stopped smiling - my F¤#&¤%*@£$ joke of a wireless router suddenly decided that I should not have the chance to win all them sweat dollars and threw me off the net. When I finaly got the problem fixed, I ofcourse logged back in, just to see a “Congratulations you finished 63 in our $50.000 freeroll, earning you 175$”. No need to say, I was disapointed I think:) But hey, it’s been a very good poker week and i’ll win it next month - come and join me, but don’t forget to claim your rakeback deal!
/Gl out there!
