“Gus” encouraged me in a comment to do a post on the last weeks jump in total bankroll. Actually it’s not that I’ve played that much - 10 hours of an average of 2 tables i think, but I’ve been running real good and the combination of my new laptop and Cardoza Poker on the iPoker network really seems to payoff, which is great!

I’ve captured a few key hands from the last days:

I’d very much like you oppinions on this one - as an experiment and motivation for commenting, I’ll honor the best/funniest/most correct hand guess of the folloowing hand with a transfer of 25$ on Cardoza Poker to a reader of Within1000days signed up through Rakebackmypoker.com:

After the hand we had quite some dynamics until the following hand occured:

…And he left:)

The session ended with me sitting with more than 5 buyins:

I usually don’t make “hero calls” but in this hand, for some reason I just couldn’t fold:

Nice post. I think you made a mistake in the second link. Lets see that big hand please… ;-)

Nice, thank you for posting the hand.
What was he thinking? I can understand the raise initially, allthough I would raise with KT myself. However he should have folded after the reraise. I think after the flop he had you on QQ er JJ and thought you just wouldnt lay it down.. but still I mean KT…with this flop with no obvious straight or flush possiblities, you had every reason to go all the way.

    Hey Tue,

I think his reasons were two small bluffs I made earlier on - obviously a good investment:) But yeah bad play from his side.

As to the competition. I’ll let it run until end of July where I return from Barcelona:)

    Hi Anders

He obviously has KJ. Offsuit that is. :) The KT hand shows that he doesnt mind calling a big reraise preflop with mediocre hands and that he plays very passively postflop. So he just calls when he hits the flop with the J. I think that he would have checked the turn with just AK because even a donkey should fear a bigger hand there. But with KJ he now has two pair which must have been the nuts in his mind so he bets… OR maybe he bets with a semi bluff with a flush draw of some kind? My best guess is KJ though. Great blog btw.

    He had AA.

I reckon he had gone in with the classic 7 2 at the start, slow played you for a bit, then went to cash in… but you folded ;)

Back from Barcelona there’s one day left of the competition - give me your best shot.
