We have had some problems with the previous host, so therefor we are moving the site. During moving period you might experience some irregularities. In the end though you will experience improved performance and thereby the posibility of making some new features for the site. We are working hard and I’ll like to send a thankful thought to my webmaster Klaus Kjeldsen.
Post Trip Update
If you’re interested in reading about hpw the Italians dominated and the Danes didn’t go to Pokernews.com/liveblog, don’t expect to read much more about it here:)
As you might have guessed from the above, none of us (Kedde, Henke, HIversen or this donk) managed to cash in the sideevent we played. A combination of lack of cards (it’s mandatory right?) and live skills resulted in bustings around place 175/351. Despite the lack of cashes, we had a nice trip to a surprisingly beautiful city and though we had to change rooms 3 times in order to get the room we had ordered the Hilton Hotel gets a thump up!
…and the city in general for fair prices in return for great quality (food and drinks).
Pre Trip Post
As you might remember, two friends and I managed to win a poker trip to the EPT in Prague, where we will be playing a side event or two. Im planning on bringing my laptop too, so that I can give a little update when we bust Gus Hansen, Jesper “Kipster” Hougaard and the other top pros playing the EPT Prague events:) The update will be added in this post, so keep checking back!

If you think it’s been a little quiet around the blog for a few days, you are right, as I’ve been on a small holiday in London from Wednesday until Sunday
The trip contained nothin’ poker related what so ever, neither were the time spent on the usual London attractions, though we did see both Big Ben and West Minister Abbey from the outside and walked across Trafalgar square:-) Instead the trip concentrated around shopping and eating!
The highligt of the trip was a 5,5 hour “meal” at Heston Blumenthals world famous restaurant The Fat Duck, which made our 3 dishes set lunch at Jamie Olivers Fifteen seem like a Sunday visit to McDonalds!

Once again the pokergods laughed at me in the larger tournaments and I’m starting to wonder if I can only hit Final Tables in $50 tours and if the difference in skill level is that big? “Fortunately” the £100 buyin at Classic Poker was cancelled due to some technical problems (maybe they just wanted to spare the overlay until next Sunday where the guarantee has dropped to 35K:-)
May next week be better than -$1500 - no wait, Wednesday im going to London for 4 day holiday - its probably going to be a -£3000 then:)

Once again Sunday became a real cooler with not a single cash in 5 larger tournaments, resulting in a 700$ loss after losing an alin with KK against QQ, AA against T4 (!!!) after hitting trips on flop and betting all the way and so on:-/ And thats about what I’ll tell you about that Sunday - lets forget it and talk about Saturday instead:-)
Saturday came a little breakthrough in my new strategy with playin’ more tournaments instead of solely cashgame. The program conceeded of 3 tournaments with a buyin of $50-£50, and was I surprised of the difference in opposition in relation to the more expensive tournaments. After 4-5 hours of play I saw myself hitting 2 Final Tables almost at the same time.

Unfortunately, the free program I use (Jing Project), doesn’t allow me to capture more than 5 minutes at a time.

Unfortunately my opponent had a substantial chip lead as we came HU, I never managed to close in on him and I was Gameover soon after the ending of the video. Comments on my HU play are more than welcome, so drop me a line or two!
I managed to capture a little from the other tournament too, which was, as you might notice a very close affair :
Unfortunately I didnt capture my exit, but I finished in 5th place for a win of £600 - all in all a profitable night, though it was bitter not to take one of them down.

What are there more to say than the Danes have invaded the poker scene once again with four WSOP bracelets this year!

After two month of, probably, sickening waiting time, yesterday Peter Eastgate sat down with his eight opponents (all in all the November nine) at the WSOP Final Table 2008. After a little more than 14 hours of exciting poker (whereas Peter Eastgate was involved in, by far, the most pots) Eastgate and Demidov are the only two standing!
And not even are Eastgate still standing - he is standing strong with a chiplead of 79,5 mil in chips against Demidov’s 57,7 mil.

Update Tuesday 1.00PM
I had been looking forward to day2 of the Danish Online Championship of Poker, and was planning on keeping the same strategy that saw me through from day1 - a very tight-aggressive approach. After folding every hand for the first hour im looking down at QQ in middle position - allin! A guy in late position calls and turns over KK:-/ No help on flop, turn or river sent me out in the dark in 58th place!
All in all im happy with the way I played, even though it was much tighter than usual and I’m looking forward to tonights 100€ HU Event (Even though I dont stand a chance, It should be a lot of fun:-) and meybe also tomorrows 100€ shorthanded Event (If I’m not at the stadium watching AAB-Villareal in the Champions League!).

Update Sunday 3.15AM:
After a very long day1 of the Danish Online Championship where I managed to stay alive with a very short stack through the last 3 hours of the day, despite sitting at the same tables of some of Denmarks greatest names in poker (fx WPT Barcelona winner Casper “Dalle” Dahl and online Highstakes pro Martin El-Kher) This means that ill be in the bowl with the other 68 remaining players when day2 begins Monday at 7PM and the Final Table are to be find (Not to be confused with the WSOP Final Table waiting just around the corner:-). Now I have to go to bed, as I have to get up and go to work in just 5 hours:-/ NIGHT!!
