..But there must be players at Cardoza that are even less experienced out in HU play than I am, cause the last couple of sessions have thrown off a 1500$ profit. Not bad as the summer saw me 4000$ short of the plan, as I almost didn’t play for 5 weeks. A “minus” that I intend to erase during September!
I have no intentions in continuing this little HU festive though as it’s not game where I have much experience, but I’ve realized that, with extremely strict table selection even a rookie can make a little profit on the side (unless it’s ALL luck:-)
But I certainly will keep playing them as long as they make plays like these:
As the summer has been very hard on the project (se the stagnating bankroll chart) I’ve decided to make some changes in the “1000 days of bankroll evolution”-plan. First of all I will proceed with a slightly more conservative bankroll management in order to protect the whole excistence of the project - the bankroll, which also means that I will be aiming for the 400$ a week goal for quite some time (until the bankroll hits 12.000$). If everything goes as planned, I will still be able to make the 250.000$ within 1000 days so no worries yet (though I admit I have to start playing som hands)

Soon the wait is over - the summer has been long and I’ve done way too little writing (and playing) here on within… A trip to Barcelona, weekends by the sea in a sweet summer house has taken up way too much time! That is all over now and September is going to be the month in which I have played the most poker ever - at least thats my goal (on top of making at least 2500$). So keep checking back and hopefully I will be able to reward you with some interesting stories from the online filt:)
PS. I will experiment with weekly updates in order to keep you updated on the progress of winnings/losses, hours played, hourly payment and so on. Don’t hesitate to post your ideas for stats in a comment!

TY all for participating in this little summer competition at Within1000days!
The correct answer was AJ for a some kind of bluff - I folded the best hand that is:(
The winner of the competition must be HIversen, who gave the most in depth analysis of the hand and had him put on the J at least:)
So HIversen, sign up with Cardoza if not already a member and post your username below and I will credit your account with 25$ for free - not bad for a 5 min. work if you ask me:)
I consider the competition a great succes and will probably be hosting a similar competition again!

One can’t stop being a little nationalistic when you see how great poker can be played. I am ofcourse talking about the danish poker phenomenon Peter Eastgate (Eastgate also made it to the money in this years EPT Copenhagen) - if you haven’t heard of him yet, just take a look at the seatings for the WSOP Finalt Table - yes the one which is postponed until November nine! GOGO Peter Eastgate:). Is that not why we all play and love poker?
PS. All players at the final table are secured a minimum of 900,670$!!
Interview with Peter Eastgate after day 6:
Don’t forget the little competition where you can win 25$! All you have to do is comment on this hand

“Gus” encouraged me in a comment to do a post on the last weeks jump in total bankroll. Actually it’s not that I’ve played that much - 10 hours of an average of 2 tables i think, but I’ve been running real good and the combination of my new laptop and Cardoza Poker on the iPoker network really seems to payoff, which is great!
I’ve captured a few key hands from the last days:
I’d very much like you oppinions on this one - as an experiment and motivation for commenting, I’ll honor the best/funniest/most correct hand guess of the folloowing hand with a transfer of 25$ on Cardoza Poker to a reader of Within1000days signed up through Rakebackmypoker.com:
Theres a long way to go, I know! But poker blog of the month is a start right? Pokerweblogs.com has, only God knows why, announced within1000days.com (yes, you read it alright) as poker blog of the month for July. You might argue that it’s because no one reads weblogs during summertime anyway:) I prefer to call july the month of poker, because of the World Series Of Poker;) - Next year, ofcourse, I’m planning on qualifying for it and ofcourse blogging about it! This year I have to settle for a trip to Barcelona (I’ve heard they have a casino there too though:)
/Have a nice summer all!

I really hope tonights session is an expression of the future at iPoker - 2 hours of play resulted in a + of aproximately 800$ - much of it commin from back to back walking sticks (77 - my new favourite hand):
I’ve captured a small movie of my new screen/resolution (1680×1050) which makes me able to play up to 9 tables without overlap - not that I intend to though -I think it will make my game worse than good is:): http://screencast.com/t/F0tBLj9swjy. As you can see from the movie though, multitabling not necessary means winning:)

What do you do when the donks at Computersalg.dk haven’t shipped your new grinder machine yet - you you gather some guys and drive/sail for 5 hours (which feels like 5 min trip to the liquor store, if the car is filled with Rasmus “Eraze”, Brian “Stam” (yes the soccer player) and Joe “Hansom”) and Jamie Walters is on the radio (we are all straight by the way - at least i think so:-)) in order to play some “serious” homegame.
We arrived at “Hiversens” around 9.30 PM for pizza, but within the hour the game was on - I was ofcourse by far the best player there (though I’m not sure the other guys agree). 10 hours later - that is 8 in the morning we all went to bed (or floor that is, as we had to crash there - that is ofcourse counted out Joe “Hansom” who got “tired” around 3 AM - it has to be said that Joe likes the beer and whisky though;-) - and stole Hiversens bed).
Saturday went off with online grinding, watching Caroline Wozniacki (almost) beating Jelena Jankovic and preparing a great barbecue (Which became clearly handicaped as the donks who volunteered in going to the mall forgot to buy briquettes (not that it is important at all - lol)). Saturday looked a lot like friday even though Joe had decided not to be this nights donor and this time it was a Calvados which made him tired.
Sunday “morning” we headed home - a trip that got extended by another 2 hours as we arrived late at the ferry and was forced to take a “%#&/()?@ of an old ferry which wasn’t even qualified for sailing sightseeing excursions in Copenhagen harbour!
But hey, all in all a perfect weekend with lot of funny poker. As I’m writing I’ve heard rumors that my new comp has arrived at the post office - guess who will be going tomorrow.
PS. I think the weekends overall winner became Hiversen - surprise surprise - the donkey always wins:-)
PPS. I’ve just betted him 200$ that he cannot stay away from poker for a whole week givving me odds 6:1 - he has promised himself to stay away, as he has a master degree to finish - I’ll keep you updated on this one!
/Until next time
